Haven't been posting to the blog lately but I am going to get back on it. I started my second week of the Strength Bias program yesterday, so here it is:
Sunday 10/18 Strength Work Back Squats - 185x3,195x3x3 - 10# PR over last week, and a big psychological hurdle for me Weighted Pull Ups - 35x3x3 Metcon Lil Lizzie 12-9-6 Clean, 105# Ring Dips 6:05 - Cleans were incredibly difficult after the backsquats, but was able to move relatively quickly through them, and the ring dips were unbroken
Monday 10/19 Strength Work Press - 120x3(miss),120x3,120x3 - 5# PR over last week. Only got two on the first set, but re-adjusted mentally, and fought through the last rep on the second and third sets. Max reps at 85# - 14 - No improvement here
Metcon 21-18-15 Hip Extension GHD Sit Up 400m Run ~9:00. Accidentally stopped my watch in the middle of this so not sure of the time.
The program is going well so far, but it will be interesting to see if my recovery can keep up as the weights get heavier.

The CrossFit model of training is the on the cutting edge of fitness. Within the community, we are making discoveries and creating new standards to achieve a higher level of fitness everyday. The methodology and prescription of CrossFit are tested on a regular basis as should be with any good scientific model.
The main goal of CrossFit, as should be with any "fitness" program, is to envoke in our ourselves and eachother a higher level of fitness. In order to do that we have to give the word fitness a definition.
Here is a great article defining fitness from the founder of CrossFit, Greg Glassman.
